It’s no secret. We love Ogden over here at The Salt Project. We’re incredibly proud of this little town and all that it’s become. Ogden is filled to the brim with character and charm. It’s a town that prides itself in supporting each other while raising families.

Kym, the owner of Union Grill which is in the Historic Union Station, was kind enough to host us at Union Grill this weekend during Ogden Restaurant Week. After sitting down with her for a few moments, we realized the vibe of today’s Ogden City is something that many people worked hard to create. It’s families like Kym’s who made old Ogden beautiful again. Who established businesses in a place that needed them desperately. And who have worked together to support each other’s businesses throughout the years. They made a difference while raising families.

As Kym left our table she made the comment about how amazing it was to see young families like my own enjoy the city she knew so many people have worked so hard to create. And we couldn’t help but be incredibly grateful for amazing families than came before us.

My kids ordered from the kids menu which is consists of all the classics: grilled cheese, pasta (with either red or white sauce), plain burger, etc. They come with either fries or fruit and a drink.

I ordered from the special Ogden Restaurant week menu. It’s usually a combination of popular dishes and creations special Odgen Restaurant week. I was able to choose either an appetizer or dessert and an entree for $10! I ordered sweet potato waffle fries which came with the most delicious cheesy dip and the Chicken Tostada. I’d go back for sure!

My husband ordered the Beef Medallions from the regular menu...and hasn’t stopped talking it about it since so I’m going to say that’s a total win. He’s the foodie in our relationship so when he says something was amazing you know it really was.

After we ate our food we were able to walk around for a minute to see all the train cars. Our little guy loved being so close to those big train cars. It was the perfect end to an amazing outing.
