Things to do with kids at SUNDANCE

Snowshoeing, Check.

But did you know they have an art studio?

We visited as a family a couple years ago and they kids LOVED it so much! The older kids through a pot on the wheel, and the littles worked with clay and made piggy banks, which they still have and use, and love, and talk about all the time... "mom, remember when we made these"!

This time we had the littles on the wheel. I wasn't sure if they would be able to do it, but the instructor helped get them started and they ended up making the most incredible little bowls. And I've never seen them so happy! They were absolutely obsessed with this experience.

Pretty sure Wells is THE cutest little artist of all time (age 4).

Meanwhile, the bigs and I were in the room next door doing silversmithing! I have made several rings over the years and LOVE them so much. The art of jewelry making is in my blood. My grandpa Speechly was a silversmith and would always make rings for his granddaughters. I still have all of them. My grandma gave me a turquoise ring that he made her and I've worn it almost everyday for 24 years! Seriously. It's one of my greatest treasures.

I kept bouncing back and forth between my silversmithing class and the littles pottery class because they were so darn cute!

It was Locke and Riz's first time silversmithing. They loved it!

Check out a picture of our last visit HERE.

The final product! We love them so much! And had so much fun making them. The pottery that the littles made will be fired and shipped straight to our home in a week or two.  I forgot to get a photo, but you can check out our instagram highlight to see the finished product. They did SO good!
