Sundance Halloween Lift Ride

We bundled up warm and piled in the car to head to Sundance Mountain Resort. The kids have never been on a ski lift and we thought the night Halloween Lift Ride would be fun for them.

Riz(4) fell asleep on the way.

The activities run from 7-10 weekdays and 7-11 on weekends, so when we arrived it was dark and spooky.

There were fire pits glowing, a scary movie playing, pumpkin bowling, face painting... It was all kind of magical. We have never been to a night Halloween activity and this was pretty awesome. It was cold, but the fire was warm and there were pleanty of activites to keep the kids entertained.

Breckyn(8) and Locke(10) tried the pumpkin bowling.

Then we walked around and explored while dad parked the car and took the shuttle back down to where we were.

Berdee(1) was tired so we didn't waste time, we went straight to the ticket booth, which then lead us through a haunted house tunnel to get to the lift.

We took two lifts and split the kids between Dan and I, so we each took 2 on with us.

I took the Texans with me, Dan had the Utahns. Riz (4) was a little scared, but not too bad. I played it off like it was no big deal and we teased the characters that we met along the ride. Then he took it upon himself to warn other riders as we were headed down. In his sweet little voice he would yell "be careful, its creepy up there!" They would usually laugh and thank him for the warning.

My kids have never been to a Haunted House so this was their first experience with being scared of anything other than the dark. I feel like it was a good experience and glad that we were up high on the lift so they felt a little safer.

The lift ride was about about 30-40 mintues long, up and back down the mountain. Berdee(1) loved the whole thing! The other kids asked if we could do it again!

Potty break and then we watched the scary movie that was set up while we got warm by the fire and waited for Dan to get the car.

This was an awesome activity. Totally unique and something our kids will always remember. You could easily do this is an hour, or stay for a few hours and enjoy the evening.
