The Ogden Bike Collective & The Salt Project have teamed up to give away 100 (used and renewed) bikes and helmets to 100 kids.

We know it's a busy weekend, we get it. School's out, vacations are planned, summer break is here! You've probably got every minute planned out right? Well, if you are looking for something to do, maybe more in the service department, we've got a great opportunity!

We need YOU to nominate the children! (In Weber and Davis County only.)

Pedal Drive

Pedal Drive is the newest addition to our Secret Service Ninja division. Nominations are due by June 13th 2016. Nominating a child is just the first step. If your nominee is chosen, we ask that you deliver bicycle and helmet to the child, secretly. To nominate a child and find out more info fill out this form.

The Ogden Bicycle Collective.

The OBC's main objective is to make biking accessible to anyone. The OBC provides refurbished bicycles and educational programs to the community, focusing on children and lower income households. By providing community bike shops, people can come and learn how to care for their bike or earn bicycle mechanic certifications.

Where are do all these bikes come from?

OBC works with local police stations that donate bicycles that have been confiscated and unclaimed. Other bikes come from community donations. You can always drop off a bike to OBC (during open hours.)

OBC then works to refurbish each bike by thoroughly inspecting each part.

After assessing the bike, parts are then replaced, the bike is cleaned and awaits a new owner.

This is where you come in. OBC has many children's bikes, but we need your help finding kids that need a bike!

Not only can you nominate a child in need of a bike, you can also volunteer your time.

OBC is always looking for volunteers to come and help around the shop. Anyone can come and work on a bike (with supervision.) If you want to learn more about your bike and how it works, you can come in anytime and OBC will gladly provide mentoring. ($10 hour, includes all tools needed.)

OBC offers free classes so be sure to check out the info below.

Looking for a bike for yourself? OBC sells refurbished bicycles for adults, so if you are in the market, head on down.

Want to nominate a child? Fill out the form here. Nominations are due by June 13th 2016.
