We found out about Spitz viz Instagram, the pictures of their food looked incredible and I quickly added it to my MUST TRY list ASAP!
We were on a family field trip in Salt Lake and wanted to enjoy the blooms at Capital Hill while we were in the city, so we opted for take-out to have a picnic.
The inside of Spitz was so awesome! I just had to share a few pics. We will definitely be eating in next time, or perhaps we'll eat al fresco on the covered patio. I'm a sucker for eating outside. The vibe was so unique and fun. News paper and succulent covered tables, modern chairs and stools, art covering every square inch of wall space, and some great tunes playing.
I had no clue what to get, this being our first time here and first time eating Mediterranean food. I picked a little of everything and figured we could all share. I got 2 wraps, the Street Cart Fries (to die for) and Doquitos (holy smokes amazing).
The line was OUT THE DOOR when we got there. My first thought was "I hope its worth it". Um YES! YES IT WAS!
We topped our fries this lamb, garlic aioli, feta, tomato, olives, and Peperoncinos. See that little container of special sauce? If you know what it is, please let me know, I could drink it, it was so good. Not kidding.
Thumbs up from my picky eater? He loved the wraps and fries the most.
We caught the tail end of the blooms
Still dreaming of these babies. Doquitos for the win!
And a little treat for the kids, and me, but mostly the kids, Cinnamon-Sugar pita strips with brown sugar whipped cream, who could I NOT order them? They didn't last long.
Capital Hill was so beautiful! The weather was perfect, plenty of room for the toddler to run free while we enjoyed our picnic and this was the best food I've ever had the privilege of picnicking with.
Spitz was better than expected. WAY better! We will definitely be back. These guys just made my top 10 places to eat list in Salt Lake City list. Now, if I just lived in Salt Lake so I could eat here every week...
One of my very most favorite places to eat!
