Snowshoeing with kids - SUNDANCE

Yes, Sundance has some amazing skiing, but did you know they offering snowshoeing too?

You can rent gear, even teeny tiny snowshoes that are so cute you will want to have another baby, even if you are done having babies.

We took a guided tour from a biologist. He was full of facts and knowledge and shared it along the way. We learned about the history of Sundance, about the animals, the trees,  and mountains.  We also saw animal tracks from Mose, Rabbits, Bobcats, Elk, Cougars, and Turkeys!

It was a beautiful 2 mile loop trail through the forested mountains with the grand views of Timp in the background. All of our kids loved it! This was their first time show shoeing and they all did great. Even Wells (age 4) was hiking Iike a little champ for the first mile, without a single complaint, until he finally collapsed at the 1 mile point. We figured as much, and brought the carrier as a back up. He ended up falling asleep in it the last 30 minutes.

We highly recommend this activity for a fun family adventure for all ages to enjoy. It's unique, beautiful, and fun!

Bunny and Turkey tracks!

Wells, was rocking it! I didn't know how he would do, and we forgot his snow boots at home (they have boots for rent but not that small). But he did fine in his shoes. Didn't complain at all.

Bobcat tracks.

Ok, I was trying to get a specific shot but the lighting was very harsh as you can see. Between video and photos, my phone died and now looking through these, it looks like I only took photos of Wells. lol.

So you'll have to come over to IG and see the fun video or the rest of our adventure.

Baby Carhartt beanies are my fave.

This is the ABSOLUTE BEST baby carrier I've tried. And with 5 kids, I tried a ton of the last 16yrs. It's so comfortable that I bought it when Berdee was 2! And we were done having kids (so we thought lol). I knew I would only be using it for a year or so, but bought it anyway. Luckily we ended up having a surprise 5th baby so we could use it again, thats how much I love it! And it fits newborn and up, Wells is 4 and still fits in it! It tell you. BEST EVER!

And that is a sign of success right there ladies and gents. A sleeping 4 year old is always a good thing.

;This activity was SO fun! Our kids had a blast, they learned a ton about nature and Sundance, and had a blast chasing each other through the forest, pushing each other over, and going places they wouldn't normally be able to go with out these cool snow shoes.
