Thanks for coming out to our First Salt Project Meet-Up!

While we were setting up, I had this sudden terrible thought of "What if NO ONE came?!"

Luckily, that wasn't the case.

It was fun to see how many people wanted to come and enjoy being outside. The scavenger hunt was a hit and the Nature Center was amazing.
Hawkwatch's Raptors basically stole the show.

We don't mind though, they are pretty awesome.
Each bird had their own story to tell. It was reassuring to know that there are organizations like Hawkwatch to watch out for these guys.
This lovely guy had an eye infection and started imprinting on humans, so he wasn't able to leave, but he's quite the cuddler!
It was a pretty amazing spring Utah day too.

We had a picnic.

Asked the birds (and Don) a bunch of questions. Checked out the Nature Center, again, because it's that awesome.

Walked around the trails.
All in all, it was a pretty good day to be outside! Check out #thesaltproject for more photos from our scavenger hunt. Also, see our previous posts here and here for more info on the Nature Center.
A special thanks to Diana at The Great Salt Lake Nature Center, Hawkwatch, Zurchers for the balloons, Indie Ogden, Utah Mom Connection and our families! We couldn't have done it without you all!
If you had photos taken, we've sent out an e-mail to folks that have registered with a link to download your photo.
