Out and About in October
It's already October! Autumn is officially here, Halloween is just around the corner and there are so many fun seasonal things to do. We've compiled a list of the top, unique activities to experience this month.
The Crack
UEA Weekend feels like the kids' first 'real' break from school and offers the perfect opportunity to escape the impending cold weather and enjoy the sunshine down in Southern Utah. We love exploring The Crack in Pioneer Park, such a fun, unique experience to squish yourself through this breath taking natural landform.
Great Harvest Bread Tours
With bread and soup season in full swing we loved taking the kids out to learn more about how to make bread and where their food comes from. Not only is this the best bread in town, but the owners took us on a personal tour and made everything so fun and engaging for the kids. They could touch, taste and smell almost everything.
Haunted Theatre Spooktacular
They set the mood from the moment you walk through the doors with a fully decorated theatre. The actors are amazing and keep the kids and adults entertained and engaged throughout the entire performance. The show includes the perfect balance between spooky and comical and sets the perfect Halloween mood. Plus, we are giving away 5 tickets to see the show, click here for instructions to enter.
The Witches at Gardner Village
Such a fun little place to wander and check out with the kids. They'll love hunting for all the witch displays listed on their scavenger hunt. And for an extra bit of fun you can take them to the 6 Hags Witch's Adventure where they get to meet a 'real' witch and tour her house, the guide we had was amazing and so entertaining and witty my kids both loved and feared her by the end!
Silver Reef Ghost Town Tour
Check out a real live Utah ghost town. They have a museum that you can walk through that teaches you the history of the town, how it came to be and how it was destroyed. Then wander around town and experience the rundown buildings and abandoned streets for yourself.
