Hello Fall Break! Or UEA or whatever yours is called. Either way, we're going to give you a whole bunch of ideas for easy Utah Staycations! One, two, three days? We'll pretty much give you all the ideas you need. Best part The Salt Project has personally tried each and every place.  We'll give you some things to do and then places to eat.

Our first stop, Ogden.

  1. Beus Pond | Ogden

    Easy stroll around the pond. You can picnic and even fish. (Don't feed the ducks bread thouhgh.)

  2. Ogden Nature Center | Ogden

    For just a couple bucks you can spend hours walking the trails. Plus check out the schedule for classes and check out the raptor birds.

  3. Ogden's Historic 25th Street Farmers | Ogden

    Fall just means more delicious fresh food.

  4. Hill Aerospace Museum | Roy

    Free for all. You can tour inside and out for hours.

  5. Kangaroo Zoo | Ogden and Various Locations

    This is actually the North Salt Lake Kangaroo Zoo, but there is one in Ogden too. Family friendly and bring socks!

  6. Motor VU Drive-In | Uintah

    Grab some blankets and snacks and snuggle up.

  7. Children's Treehouse Museum | Ogden

    If you haven't bought a yearly's totally worth it, especially in the winter months. If not, go for a day, you literally can spend all day there.

  8. Cold Springs Trout Farm | North Ogden

    Not a fisher? Don't worry, these guys have it all. You just need to catch the fish, which is super easy.

  9. Hiking Indian Creek/Cold Water Canyon Trail | Ogden Canyon

    Easy family hike. Leads to some bridges and rivers.

  10. 27th Hike

    Lovely hike with water and more bridges!

  11. The Rock Tumbling 
    These guys have something called "parents night out", you drop off the kids, kids play, parents get a date. Amazing!

    Buy a sandwich, give a sandwich to someone in need!

  2. Farr's Ice Cream

    Historic and delicious. Ogden's own famous Ice Cream shop.

  3. Good Life Cafe & Juice Bar

    Healthier options with some twists. We love to try their daily specials. (Vegan and Vegetarian options.)

  4. Jeremiah's

    Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Try Breakfast for sure.

  5. Lucky Slice Pizza

    So good, they've opened up some new locations. We love the Flower Child Pizza and the Rice Krispie Treats.

  6. Maria's Mexican

    Delicious and Local. You can't go wrong.

  7. Rovali's Italian Ristorante

    YUM. Try the Eggplant Parmesan, Mama's Meatballs add a Lavender Lemonade and then end with a Chocolate Chip Mint Cake. (Seasonal.)

  8. Thai Curry Kitchen

    Fresh and family friendly. You'll be able to find something for everyone here.

  9. Warren's Craft Burger

    Go for a delicious burger and add the fries. You won't regret it. There you have it. You are good for a few days at least. We have even more ideas, just search the website if you need even more!We'd love to see your travels so #thesaltproject!
