This is our final list of Must Have Baby Items of 2017 and our Gender Neutral Nursery Reveal!
Davinci Baby Jenny Lind Crib
We thought bright green would be a fun gender neutral color for our eclectic nursery theme. We ordered on-line and it shipped right to our front door. Set up was super easy. Everything you need comes with the crib. Just be sure to read the directions! (I always try to skip that part, and it never works). The crib is great quality and very sturdy but also very light weight and easy to move (added bonus).
We wanted to mix some vintage and modern pieces for this space. We inherited this cupboard from the late 1800's from Dans grandma. We cleaned it up and then lacquered the whole thing several times to preserve the natural crackle of the pant and the blue interior. I love that pop of color. It was the inspiration for the room. We wanted to keep things b&w with pops of solid color here and there.
The blue desk is another vintage find from the DI and we placed our favorite Big Press Books in my Grandpa Speechly's old Army Ammo box.
Grandin Road Clock
When I saw this clock I just fell in love. I wasn't sure if it would go in the nursery or another room in the house, but as we were putting the nursery together it just felt right! It's HUGE and I love having a big statement piece in the room rather than lots of small items. Just trying to keep things simple.
Cedar & Ink Prints
This amazing new company is local to Utah! They have a gorgeous selection of wood hung prints in color and b&w. There are endless combinations of wood stain and print choices in a variety of sizes. We decided to go with 2 small prints over the crib rather than one large print. I love how they turned out! And if you are not sure what to choose for your space the owners are super helpful and can help you choose the perfect print and size! The wood frames are magnetic and assembly was easy and fun for the kids to help.
We found a HUGE selection of lighting options at amazing prices from My Lighting Source. I love how this light ties into all the b&w elements of the room. Installation was a breeze and the Edison bulbs add to the eclectic feel of the space. My Lighting Source reached out and is offering our readers 15% OFF with coupon code: thesaltproject
My 6 year old took it upon himself to set up our SnoozyPod all by himself (he also put together our stroller, monitor and several other items). It only took a few seconds to snap the pieces together and get it properly installed safely under the crib mattress so there were no exposed wires. The directions for this were very simple and easy to follow. After everything was ready to go we invited Harmony's baby Vesper over for a test trial. She loved the night light option and the vibrations. She is teething and having a hard time sleeping so we sent her home with it helps. (we'll keep you posted).
And stay tuned for our biggest giveaway of the year!
