Nickel Mania | Field Trippin' | Sandy

Sometimes you just want some good old fashion fun. Am I right? When we’re in the mood for throwback to our childhood, Nickel Mania is our favorite place!

There are tons of things I love about this place. The first is that it’s super cheap. You do have to pay $2 per person just to enter to place but the machines only take nickels so it turns out to be an incredibly affordable way to get your arcade fix.

We went the other day and bought 10 dollars worth of nickels. We thought we’d start small and fully expected to buy more coins after the first 10 dollars ran out. But our entire family played for an hour and a half on just 10 dollars worth of nickels! I love it.

Nickelcade has all the good classics. Skeetball (which I’m oddly good at. Really, I can’t bowl above an 80 so it makes no sense to me),

But the Nickelcade also has many of the awesome games too. Fruit Ninja is one of our personal favorites and it’s one even young kids can play. They also have Deal or No Deal and a big four player Pac Man which was super fun.

They have all the fun ticket game on one half of the building and on the other half of the building are all the true arcade games. They have a bunch of racing and shooting games. They have pinball and air hockey, all your classics.

Guys, they even have guitar hero! Which for anyone who went to highschool in the early 2000’s you know, you just can’t walk passed guitar hero without showing off all your hard earned fake guitar playing skills.

The Nickelcade is such a fun place for young families. I feel like it’s a place we can go where we all truly have a good time..and they even have little ride on cars for your babes. Our little man was in heaven!

And I know what you’re thinking. Nickelcade? What’s the vibe there? Is it family friendly? And my answer is yes! It totally is! We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was full of young families. There were one or two adults hogging the coin slider games (you know those ones where you put a coin in and try to push other coins off? They’re basically the arcade version of slot machines) but our kids weren’t super interested in those games so it wasn’t a big deal. Other than that, everyone there does a great job of sharing machines and letting everyone play.

I am loving your page in order to find new, fun, INEXPENSIVE things to do with the kids! I was looking at Nickelmania online and it doesn't list one in Sandy, only Springville and Murray. Am I looking at the right place?
