The MilkShake Factory

In the summer of 2024, Utah welcomed a delightful addition to its dessert scene with the opening of The FIRST MilkShake Factory in Utah! You better believe we ran to try them out.

Pleasant Grove is the first and only Utah franchise location but there will soon be more!

The MilkShake Factory’s roots trace back to 1914 when Greek immigrants Charlie and Orania established their first chocolate and soda shop in Pittsburgh. Over the decades, their family refined recipes and techniques, culminating in a menu that boasts handspun milkshakes made with housemade ice cream and premium chocolates. 

Oh, and they have free samples of their fresh chocolate bark! The kids loved this of course. My favorite was the s'more, the kids loved the coconut. Highly recommend grabbing a bag or box for the road.

But don't skip the molten chocolate bowls! Fresh fruit covered in hot liquid chocolate and fresh whip cream! They are an absolute must!

We recommend the s'mores shake for the biggest wow factor! And the classic cookies and cream is always a crowd favorite as well as my personal favorite.

All of their ice cream is made fresh in how daily as well as their whip cream!

They have classic flavors as well as unique combinations and even dairy free options!

Berdee is a salted carmel fan through and through and their salted carmel pretzel shake was amazing!

If shakes aren't your thing, you can get a sundae, or molten chocolate bowl.

The chocolate recipe is over 100 years old, fresh, and available is so many awesome flavor combinations.


Definitely make a stop next time you are driving down i-15, or plan a special trip to make your celebration a little sweeter.
