Living Room Hike

I've wanted to hike to The Living Room for years! It's a popular hike. And though it is considered moderate because it's short, it is a steady incline. There is also loose gravel and rock underfoot which gets slippery.

I highly recommend Walking Polls. for this hike. They made a world of difference coming back down. No more worrying about slipping.

The reason I have put this hike off is because it is straight up and facing west so its a hot hike and I don't like to hike in the heat. We went the last week of May and started at 8am and that helped. I definitely don't recommend this as an evening hike if the heat bothers you.

I also don't recommend for littles, as the trail is rocky and steep. We passed a school group on the way down, jr high age and they were all doing great! Non of them were even wearing hiking clothes.

I hope this post is helpful! Be sure to scroll down for tips and things to know before you go.
