I'm so excited to share some of my home town favorites with you! I've called Layton home for most of my life but it wasn't until the last couple of years that I discovered some amazing hidden gems!

Layton Park Duck Pond or Layton Commons Park

This is a beautiful park with fun trees to climb, ducks to feed, a play ground and great walking paths.

Adams Canyon Lower Falls

A short version of my favorite hike in Layton! Only 25 minutes to this amazing 20ft waterfall.

Adams Canyon

This is the long version of my favorite hike in Layton, plan on 3 hours Round Trip for a 40ft waterfall. I LOVE this trail!

Great Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve

We discovered this place a couple of years ago. It's our favorite spring and fall destination.

Andy Adams Paddle Boarding

This little pond is SO beautiful! Perfect for paddle boarding, picnicking or exploring.

Layton's NEW park Greyhawk Park

This is the BEST park to come to East Layton.

Kays Creek Trail

We take this trail all year long. Stroller/bike friendly and great views.

The Dartside

My kids ask to go here more than any other place in Utah. Obsessed much? Yes!

Antelope Island

This State Park is so beautiful and has so many easy open trails, perfect for all ages.

Fernwood Cabin Hike

This is a pretty hard hike STRAIGHT up the mountain, but it comes with amazing views!

Classic Fun Center

Perfect rainy day activity.

Surf 'n' Swim

Summer or winter (with the bubble on) you can always find us swimming at surf n swim.

Grubbin'

Rooster's

Locally owned and totally unique. Try the naughty fries, you can thank me later.

Happy Hashi

Good sushi and teppanyaki at a great price. Entertainment and Dinner in one stop!

Pizza Pie Cafe

All you can eat? Yes please!

Great Harvest Bread

Homemade bread made fresh daily. Plus they do awesome field trips!

Lucky Slice Pizza

The best pizza. Hands down. (ALSO in Ogden & Layton)

ParkStone

These guys are just south of Layton but so good we had to include them. Try the Fried Deviled Eggs.

Rickle's Food Truck

They guys are always on the move but hunt them down for a good grub.

Corbin's Grille

Corbin's is a MUST when in Layton. Even if you just stop by for an appetizer or dessert. These guys are legit! I recommend the Fried Brie and Sea Bass.

What's your favorite thing to do in Layton? We didn't add everything that we've done in Layton, so be sure to search the website for more ideas. If you go somewhere The Salt Project Recommends, be sure to #thesaltproject!  We want to see!

What a great guide! Thank you so much for sharing all these fun spots. I have lived here most of my life too and some of these are new to me. Can't wait to try them out with the Fam.
