Heughs Canyon Trail Waterfall hike in SLC

My friend discovered this amazing waterfall hike and invited me to go last week. I wore my all time FAVORITE leggings (on sale HERE) They stay put, don't have a front seem, and they are silky soft.

Alltrails said the hike was 3 miles RT, but we tracked it at closer to 4 because the trailhead parking is located at the entrance of a neighborhood. You have to walk through the neighborhood to get to the trailhead, but once you get there, it's 3 miles out and back.

The trail runs along the river the entire way, so waterproof shoes are recommended.

You can climb up above the waterfall for some pretty amazing views of valley.

There are a couple scrambles over large rocks. The best part in my opintion.

when the trail ends at the end, head toward the canyon and waterfall (you will be able to hear it. Just cross over these rocks.

There are no bathrooms, limited parking. We didn't see signs for dogs. The trail is well marked and easy to follow. It runs along the river the entire way.

It is listed as "hard" on alltrails. I believe because it is a stead incline most of the way as well as a few scrambles. But definitely doable. And took us about an hour to reach the top.
