Heber Valley Railroad | Heber Creeper | Field Trippin'
Heber Valley is absolutely charming! After spending the day watching the Sheep Dogs and take a tour at Heber Valley Cheese, we headed to the other side of town to check out the Heber Creeper.
It was fun for the kids to see the old trains. My great grandpa worked on these trains! And my Grandma Milly worked at Union Station in Ogden years ago. So I told stories about their connection to the trains, and they walked around and explored.
On the main street (coming from Midway toward Heber), before you turn off for the Heber Creeper, there is a small collection of old buildings from around Utah. All of them have been restored, or are in the process of being restored and have been turned into little shops. It's like a step back in time.
The first Browning Gun was build right inside this building in Ogden Utah. The details and architecture are stunning.
Be sure to stop here when you are in town, if just to let the kids get out and stretch. Its just too cute to pass up. Also, there is a huge park for the kids to play at as you head back to Midway.
