Girls night out usually means Sushi in my book! My kids will eat it but they never request it. None of us had been to Happy Hashi in Layton before so tonight was the night! First and foremost, the service was top notch, they were SO kind and prompt. Now for the good part... the food!

I always like to order one of my favorite rolls and then try something new. Today it was Playboy roll, because you can never go wrong with that roll in my book, and we tried the Ichiban roll for the first time. It had just a hint of jalapeno pepper, but not to over powering. I give it two thumbs up and will definitely be getting it next time for my go-to roll, and then trying something new with it.

Must always order gyoza. Always.

The soup and salad come with the meal and I have to say this is the best soup I've had at a sushi place in a long time. Great flavor.

Both rolls were excellent. I highly recommend them both!

And not for the entertainment of the evening. I know we were on a girls night and should have just enjoyed the peace and quite of not having children, but all of us kept saying how we wish our kids were here to see this and how much they would enjoy it. So obviously we will all be back to bring our kids.

Our cook did a great job! I wish I had these skills.

I got shrimp and chicken. Both were amazing.

We had a great experience at Happy Hashi and will definitely be back! Be sure to mention The Salt Project when you go!

Stephanie, have you been to Jinbeh in Frisco? If so how does it compare? That is our families favorite habachi place and we can't find anything in Utah that compares. The fried rice is our favorite part.
