GOFOTO - Treasure Hunt - SLC FUN

Have you ever watched The Amazing Race?  I did a similar local challenge in 2019 with some friends and we had SO MUCH FUN! I always thought it would be cool to do it as a family one day. Well that time has come! GOFOTO is a GPS Treasure Hunt challenge and they just opened 2 challenges in SLC!

Here's how it works, you download the FREE app, select the challenge of your choice, and follow the clues to the treasure!

There are 2 challenges, one FREE, one is $3. The first challenge is live right now! It is FREE to join for any and all Salt Project friends, just follow this link to get the app and start following the clues. Winner gets $250 cold hard cash with prizes for 2nd, and 3rd too.

The official challenge starts March 25,2022 and has a grand prize of $1000! There are prizes for 2nd, and 3rd place as well.

You can play with friends, against friends, with your family, or make it a fun date night activity over the next couple of weeks.

We are playing as a family team and thank goodness, because my 16 year old got the second clue on his first try! I would stil be trying to figure it out without him.

Our journey started when I told the kids to pile into the van for a fun surprise! They didn't believe me when I said we were going on a treasure hunt lol. But we opened the app together, read our first clue and headed to our first check in point.

When I told them how much the treasure was for, they got really excited. The app has GPS so it tracks your location and you take a photo to "check in" and thats it! Super easy.

Spoiler alert, the first location is any Maverik gas station, super easy just to help you get a feel for things. The second clue is harder and I don't want to take the fun out of it for you, so you'll have to figure that one out on your own.

This is an awesome activity to do with any age, our kids are 4-16 right now and all 5 of them are loving finding the clues and taking photos around the city. If you are worried about driving all over tarnation, rest at ease. There are only 3 check in's during the challenge, the rest of the time you are just getting clues and figuring out riddles.
