Fern wood is a great place to hike. There are several trails, all with amazing views and a real life CASTLE!
Last week I took the path less traveled and so glad I did! I took the main trail, headed south from the parking lot. Then headed left after the bridge. There is a clear trail, but I've never explored it very far. About 5 min up on the left there are a couple trails leading down to a river with a little rope swing and multiple little watering holes and little waterfalls.
The main path continues on but I turned back since I was solo hiking and didn't want to go too far off the beaten path.

this is more of a go until you want to turn around hiking area as the shorline trail connects and goes for miles along the wasatch front
