Cross E Ranch is an old family farm in North Salt Lake. They are new to the scene as far as "baby animal days" and "pumpkin patches" go, but they have blown it out of the park! We were so impressed with both events, you would never guess that this was their first time pulling it off.

We are never one turn down an opportunity to hold baby animals and Cross E has THE BEST baby animal experience that we have been to. Hands down. They actually had Baby Animals, for starters. And they provided a hands on experience for our city kids. Everything from bunnies to chicks to goats and lambs. They had it all. Plus, horse back riding, tractor ride, hay maze... Oh and a food truck! Yes! Crumbs mini donuts was there with fresh donuts! And since they are new, it wasn't crowded (that last part might not last long after this post, sorry y'all). So basically they have the best baby animal days ever!
We started with the bunnies and honestly, I would have been fine to stay there the rest of the day. I was "this" close to taking one home, but.... they weren't for sale... and they poop A LOT! But they are so cute, I was willing to overlook those 2 minor setbacks.
Seriously though, how cute are they?
After the crew bottle fed the babies, we were invited into the pen to pet them.
Chicks. chicks. chicks.
The calves were so sweet, look at those big brown eyes.
And the highlight, the horse ride. I really wish adults could go for a spin. I can't even tell you how much I want to go horse back riding! I'm starting to lose sleep over it. It's that bad.
You know the ladies of the Salt Project are crazy over food trucks. I couldn't resist sampling Crumbs for the first time! We went with 2 large, one cinnamon and sugar (oh, my, melt in your mouth amazingness). And glaze with sprinkles (yes please!). You guys. These were GOOD! Like really really GOOD! If I had to choose, I would say cinnamon and sugar were my fave. It was a bit of a windy day, ok, my hat flew off several times, it was straight up blustery! So warm donuts really hit the spot.
Be sure to stop by while you are there, the prices were spot on, the donuts were amazing, and I personally recommended that large because you won't be able to just have one.
Oh, and don't even think about taking your stroller. The rocks make it impossible to drive on (unless its a jogger). They have complimentary wagons that work much better.
Here are a few of our snaps from the day. Enjoy!

Hand sanatizer, aka hanatizer and wipes might be a good idea
The parkinglot and entrance are rocky, if you have a wheelchair or stroller, drop off at the entrance or use a complimentary wagon
