Coal Creek Canyon Trail & Park | Cedar Sports | 12 Utah Staycations

We were super excited to partner up with the El Rey Inn & Suites & Visit Cedar City to show off all of Cedar City’s downtown! One of the highlights of our trip was biking through downtown. Cedar Sports is a 3 minute walk from the hotel, so it's super convenient.

Many bike shops don’t have bikes for our littlest people, so we brought their bikes along with us. Luckily, their tiny bikes fit in the cars. Since we had a bunch of tiny babies, one of us drove them to the park and waited for the bikers.

There’s something magical about pedaling yourself around town to do sightseeing. Since Derek and I lived in Cedar City years ago, we showed the whole gang around town. There’s an old church in Cedar City called The Rock Church that's literally built and covered in rocks. From the stairs to the exterior, it’s completely covered in rocks. It's beautiful.

We also took everyone by the first house Derek and I owned in Cedar City 14 years ago.

Our main destination was the Canyon Park & the Canyon Bike Trail!

This place is great in the summer. There's mature trees, two playgrounds and in the summer there's even a man-made creek that runs through the park. See a past visit here.

You can either hang out in the park or walk/ride yourself up to the beautiful Red Canyon!
