Baggin' It | Salt Hollow Park | Hyrum City

Alright, as this is my third time writing this post (somehow I managed to download some kind of bug with a font) I feel that this post will be EPIC. So without further adieu!

Sometimes, ya just gotta get up and GO.  Right?!  

9am Lady Soul texted me and 10am we were on our way to Hardware Ranch in Northern Utah.  Now, when I was that, let’s just assume that my children (and I for that matter.) were bathed, fed and had a proper lunch packed for them.  Let’s just assume.   Also, it may have been more like 10:15, 10:30 when I left, I can’t speak for Stephanie though.

Anyways, we were meeting up there at noon, so I wasn’t too worried, as I had my trusty GPS to guide my way.  Somehow, I still managed to take wrong turns.  But it ended up being a good thing, because otherwise, Lady Soul wouldn’t have been able to go sledding, on a grocery bag at this awesome park in Hyrum.

What?  You haven’t ever tried sledding on a bag before?  Huh, I thought it was common practice.  My first date with my husband was sledding in giant garbage bags.  When I was a kid, my parents took us to the top of the mountains in the spring to go sledding down the hill by the golf balls (I think they are actually observatory building in Davis County.)  So I thought it was a normal thing, apparently, it's not as common as I grew up thinking.

We hadn’t planned on going sledding, so it was lucky that we had some grocery bags in our cars for such an occasion. 

There were already people out sledding in all their gear…ya know, snow pants, hats, gloves, jackets, boots… sleds.  One good Samaritan noticed that we had no devices.  We had just unloaded our kids and he had already offered to let them use some spare sleds.  The kids took the sleds, while Stephanie showed up all the cool kids with a super-fast grocery bag.

Somehow, little Riz had taken his jacket off before heading up to Hyrum, luckily, it was actually a sunny, warm, winter day. (Say that 10 times fast.)

We debated on our way home if this hill was actually created to be a sledding hill.  My vote is yes.

So, if you ever find yourself with out sleds, don't forget to recycle friends.  Use a grocery bag.
