2 for 1 Deal Movie | Motor VU Drive-In and Swap Meet | Field Trippin'

Coleman's Drive-In has been around since 1947 people. So if you are local and have never been, climb into yo' car and get going!

This place is the perfect way to end a good summer.

We packed in all the kids to see Minions.

Each family brought their own vehicle, chairs, blankets and a snack to share.

Well, unless you are Stephanie. Then you pack one chair that seats 6. No joke.

It's pretty rad.

We had coconut popcorn sprinkled with sea salt and coconut popcorn with honey drizzled on it. YUM.

You can buy drinks and other snacks at the Snack Bar.

There are usually quite a few mosquitos, so either pack your own citronella candle, which I did, or grab your repellant. (which Melinda did.)

Melinda also brought a few games, but we didn't end up playing any, we were having too much fun chatting.

Steph brought Otter Pops and the kids went crazy over those!

The best part of this? Movies are 2 for 1! People take their kids to the first movie and then watch the second movie. Granted it's super late, but I hear if your kids fall asleep in the first movie, it's the perfect date night for parents on the second movie! My children, never fall asleep.

The movies are usually scheduled with one kid movie and one not kid movie.

In the end, we kind of got rained out. Luckily, it was towards the end of the movie. WHY DOES IT ALWAYS RAIN WHEN WE GO? Without fail, it always rains on the one day of the year we go to the drive-in.

Sure does make it memorable though.
