Ok, so I just happened upon this place called Twisted Fern. Turns out they are new! They just opened for business this year. It's family owned and the husband is the chef. They are really trying to incorporate the farm the table approach and buy local and make everything fresh from scratch in house when ever possible.
We went a little early, because kids. So we beat the rush, but by the time we left the place was packed, so we recommend going early to avoid a wait.
For starters we had Grilling Cheese. SOOO good! I have to add that they didn't have a printed kids menu, but they do offer "kid food" like grilled cheese and pasta and stuff. My kids ordered the kid items but they did sample everything my husband and I ordered and they loved everything! I thought it might be a little too fancy but they proved me wrong with every dish that came out.
And this was the special, stealhead soup. My kids ate half of it. It was so so good. You guys. I was just dying over all the food. Every. Single. Thing. was amazing.

We usually order a side of fries for Berdee, she usually just eats a little of everyone else food, and then we all share her fries. And these fries were amazing too!
Dan ordered the stealhead (see menu description below) It was incredible!
I had the Chicken Fried Portobello. No words. Sorry. It was that good. No. words.
And for dessert we sampled the edible cookie dough and honey poached peaches.
