Park City Museum | Field Trippin'

Park City Museum | Field Trippin'

I didn't know that Park City had a museum. We spotted it shortly after Dan dropped us off on Main Street to explore while he went to have a screw removed from our SUV tire. It was a bit chilly out but this was exactly what we needed.

The museum was pretty cool! I'm not gonna lie. I thought it might be some old stage coaches and dusty barrels and the kids would go crazy with boredom. Because we all know we've been to a museum like that.

Boy was I wrong! This place was a-mazing! Totally interactive and kid friendly.

Downstairs we went through an old mine and jail.

TNT, blowing up the mine.

Learning about different people in history.

Riding on a mine cart and watching a film about mining.

Sundance film festival.

One of the rooms off to the side at a plastic exhibit. It was cool to see all the amazing stuff they make with plastic, but also lots of sad things happen to nature because of it.

The kids filled out a scavenger hunt along the way. At the end they turned it in and got to pick out stones and marbles for their prize!

We would love to come back again, maybe with Dan this time so I don't have to keep track of 4 little people alone. We learned SO much about Park City and saw some pretty cool stuff.

Thanks for hosting The Salt Project!

Stephanie
