McDonald's Shamrock Week and Healthy Options

McDonald's Shamrock Week and Healthy Options

Kyra's here to give us some new information about McDonald's. Now, I know this isn't a local company by any means, but how many of us can truly live without McDonald's? During the long winter months I find myself at the McDonald's PlayPlace at least 2-3 times a month, if not more. I like to go during the non-busy hours so it's not so loud. I just buy a smoothie and sit while the kids run around. Did you know that they CLEAN the play places TWICE a day? It totally makes me feel better as a mom.

It's almost St. Patrick's Day and McDonald's is bringing back their McCafé Shamrock Chocolate Shakes! Plus you can now get Cuties in kids meal's!

McDonald’s will donate $.25 from each McCafé Shamrock Chocolate beverage purchased to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) during the week of March 11-17. (As someone who had to use the Ronald McDonald House during a 10 day hospital stay with my baby, I truly do love the cause.)

McDonald's is also working hard to make changes to their menu that customers and families can feel good about. In the last half of 2016 they started using new buns without high fructose corn syrup and started using nuggets and eggs without artificial preservatives.

McDonald's also mentioned many coupons are available through their app. They often offer free kids meals (or buy one get one) and after every Jazz game where the players get 6 assists you can receive a free 6 piece nuggets the next day.

Thanks for the info Kyra!
