19 Cool Reasons to be Outside in the Utah Heat

This desert heat is kind of awful right? Never fear, after checking The Salt Project archives, I've found a few places that need some attention. All of the following places have WATER! Cool, wonderful water!

Mantua Reservoir | Mantua

Quiet, little town.

Ogden River | Ogden

Tube the river, wade in the river, fish the river, either way, go to the river!

Crystal Geyser | Green River

Now, this picture if from February or something like that. There is no schedule when this Geyser goes off, we just happened to get lucky. Take the camper and wait for it!

Classic Waterslides | Riverdale

We've mentioned this before, but this place truly is a classic. Hence the name.

Foxboro North Regional Park | North Salt Lake

Just one of the many Splash Pads in Utah. Check out Coupons4Utah mega list here.

South Davis Recreation Center | Bountiful

Yo Ho! A pirates life for me.

Holbrook Canyon Trail | Bountiful

I'm not sure if the river is quite the rush it was in the spring, it may be more of a trickle. Either way, it's shady and lovely.

Davis Creek Trail | Farmington

Farmington Pond | Farmington

Yes, I've been swimming in this. The rope swing made me do it.

Farmington Flat | Farmington Peak

Great Salt Lake | Great Salt Lake

Pineview Reservoir | Huntsville

Bair Creek Nature Walk | Fruit Heights

Cherry Hill | Kaysville

Adams Canyon Lower Falls | Layton

Surf N' Swim | Layton

It's covered during the winter and open during the summer!

Grotto Falls | Payson

Family Friendly and cool too.

Kanarraville Falls | Kanarraville

Causey Reservoir | Huntsville

Town Square Splash Pad | St. George

Where are some of your favorite places to cool off? #thesaltproject on your photos!
