18 Rainy Day Activities in Utah

Does the rainy weather have you worried about the Memorial Weekend?  Never fear! We've compiled a list of some awesome alternatives with the sun not shining. Yes, it's open Memorial Day! At least that's what the website says.  Be sure to call to confirm.

The Leonardo Museum | SLC, UT

One of the best museums, kids or not, you'll want to visit the Museum if in Salt Lake! We think it will be open Memorial Day, but double check, the website didn't say anything about it being closed...

Treehouse Museum | Ogden, UT

This interactive, fun museum is all about the kids! (Closed Memorial Day.)

Salt Lake City Library | SLC, UT

Eat, drink, read, play, or just sit and people watch.  The architectural masterpiece is amazing.  (Website doesn't say anything about being closed.)

Monte L. Bean Museum | Provo, UT

Casper's Fat Boy Ice Cream Factory | Richmond, UT

Peak in on the Ice Cream process or stop for a sundae!  Be sure to hit up the Pepperidge farm thrift store too.

The Living Planet Aquarium | Draper, UT

Did you know Great Harvest Bread does tours?  Make your own bread sample and learn how to bake with the best of them. Check you local shop to set appointments.

Go to your local Library

We're lucky that our library has weekly Discovery Time for the kids, plus they offer free movies most Saturdays. Also, who knew that the Library had toys?!  Does yours?  Because we've seriously been thinking about getting rid of toys and just checking out new ones from the Library every week. 

Clark Planetarium | Salt Lake City, UT

Another FREE museum!  Unless you want to see their movies, there is a charge for that. A good place to go for a few hours and learn about space.  (Open Memorial Day)

Home Depot Workshops | Check your local shop

Guys, hop on to Home Depot or Lowe's and check out their workshops!

Crystal Hot Springs | Honeyville, UT
